-June 20 – sold Debbie.
Bought by a military guy via his parents (he is in Qatar). They drove up from Woodland Park to see
it. I was worried it they’d back out of
the deal but they came through in the end.
We were very happy to finally sell it!
Debbie is the third car we’ve sold to a military guy with almost no
haggling on price. I imagine dealerships
around the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs do very well.
-Thought the evo had a major mechanical issue which turned
out to just be a heat shield that rusted off and was hitting the front
passenger-side axle. The other potential
alternate issues (transfer case, front LSD, transmission) would have been
expensive and a pain to fix.
-With the help of our friend Jeff we pulled the engine
out of the WRX. It’s now on an engine
stand and we’re taking it apart little by little.
-June 24 – had BBQ at neighbor’s house. No games were played but it was fun to hang
out and talk. They have recently redone
their back deck and have an extensive garden which they showed us.
